2020 SPRING Schedule



Each meeting provides an opportunity for spiritual and mental renewal as we explore topics that is important and relevant to Christian women and mothers of all ages.  Meetings commence with a group prayer and light refreshments, followed by a speaker or faith-focused discussion/activity, social time and closing prayer.

Speaker topics include marital or parent-child relationships, spirituality and more!  


*****We have a new addition to our meetings this semester! We will be starting a new format that includes early morning prayer. Join us after school drop off, beginning at 8:30am with no worries, as childcare will be available during the prayer time!*****

1/13 - Brown Scapular Devotion: The promises and origin of the Brown Scapular presented by the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelite’s of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel
1/20 - Angie Blue presenting “A Mother’s Hope” - The journey of finding God’s goodness through the cancer diagnosis of a child
1/27 - Made to Make Workshop with Life and Whim! Get in touch with your creative side with Life and Whim. Make things. Meet people. Get inspired. Try something new. *Suggested donation $25
2/3 - Holiday, no Mother’s in Christ
2/10 - Kristin Bauman presenting “A Journey of Faith” - A story of God’s loving faithfulness and what he delivers to those who place their hope and trust in him
2/17 - Block printing Stationary with Illustrator Brianne Farley: Come and create your own stationary with beautiful hand crafted block prints! *Suggested donation $15
2/24 - Kelly Kaberli presenting “Living life BRCA positive” - A family journey of freedom and gratitude through breast cancer

3/2 - Chocolate Cross Tying and 33 Days to Morning Glory, book study: Listen to a video presentation on Marian Consecration while and tie chocolate crosses for Easter
3/9 - The Sacrament of Confession (offered by Father Jarvis), cross tying and book study discussion (33 Days to Morning Glory)  *Suggested donation to purchase book $12
3/16 - Julie Witkowski presenting on the importance of Marian Consecration
3/23 - Morning Rosary, Stations of the Cross and book study discussion, 33 Days to Morning Glory
3/30 - No Mother’s in Christ (spring break)
4/6 - Angie Blue from the Child Advocacy Center Presenting: Warning Signs for Detecting Signs of Sexual Abuse in Small Children
4/13 - No MIC (Easter)
4/20 - Ellen McManus, former Mother’s in Christ member, founder of Blessed is She (Traverse City) and Nexus Catholic Homeschooling Group Presenting: The Joy of Yoked Suffering - Embracing the crosses of our lives and discovering the heart of the Healer
4/27 - Erika McMahon, MIC Board Member and Emergency Room Physician presenting on Natural Family Planning (NFP)
5/4 - Father Libby of Holy Rosary will be presenting: The Importance of a Marian Consecration. Blessed Miraculous Medals will be distributed for our 33 Days to Morning Glory consecration day!
5/11 - Michelle “Jarvis” Salgat - One of the original founding members of Mothers in Christ and the eldest sister of Father Christopher Jarvis Presenting: Our Lady of Guadalupe; A Testimony of Her Motherly Guidance
5/18 - Spring Brunch: Come join us for breakfast and fellowship!
5/25 - No MIC (Memorial Day Weekend)
6/1 - Spring Clean-up

Other annual MIC activities include brunches, private mass and confessions, Chocolate Cross Fundraiser, Moms Night Out, Meals for Moms, and summer play groups. Additional dates for special events to come.
